What was I thinking? Was I thinking? Well…we've all been there. The moment is time stopping. There I was, just happily and innocently window-shopping when I see her. The reflection was startling! The cute outfit I put together that morning had betrayed me! I had visions of my picture with my eyes covered by that shameful black rectangle on the fashion don't page! Ouch! Reality hit and I

was grateful that photographs were not going to immortalize this moment. Seriously, who couldn't use a little friendly fashion advice now and then?

The following is a list of frequent, "eh-hem," oversights and how to avoid THE betrayal!

It's all about the fit, Baby!

There are days when baggy comfort clothes are absolutely necessary, and there are days when we must resist. What is a proper fit? These days, it is hard to know because sizes of clothing vary as much as 2 sizes either way. The best way to ensure that clothes fit properly is to make an appointment with a tailor. Better yet, take an outfit with you that you feel fits you well. Get the tailor's opinion. If you just crossed your eyes while reading this because you can't fit another thing into your schedule, never fear! A good rule of thumb to follow is how you feel in the clothes. Can you move while wearing the clothes? Can you cross your arms without feeling tension in the back of your top? Can you sit without having your pants ride up into never-never-land? Or, can you do all of the above because you are wearing clothes you could perform gymnastic moves

in?

Wear colors that make you feel great!

We can all wear color. I love experimenting with color! Wear colors that make you feel good. Colors can energize or calm you. Colors, which are complimentary to you, will reflect onto your face and make you look refreshed and pretty when you are wearing them! It is that easy!

Jazz it up!

You can do it! Step out of the comfort zone and jazz up your style! Trendy clothing can be fun! I'm not talking about completely changing your style, just spicing it up, giving you some variation. For example, dress up your classical wardrobe by adding a trendy blouse, or a fun mini skirt. Add a bit more or less color than usual. There are lots of trendy clothing stores and boutiques out there and sales people who are more than happy to help you make a choice! Have fun!

Jeans are hot!

Have you seen the great jeans out there! Jeans with embroidery, crystals, gems, ribbon, lace, you name it! Jean skirts, jean jackets, and all lengths and styles of jeans can give your wardrobe great variety! But, let one denim piece be the star! Too many shades of denim can be overwhelming! Some of our favorites: Joe's Jeans, Red Engine, Massimo and Miss Me. Find Miss Me jeans at

www.turbowear.com.

Do grab ideas from your favorite actor!

Do you love a particular actors style? Rather than completely copy a look, be inspired by it and create a similar fashion that will suit you. Go for it! Have fun!
